How to reach Smart Home Circuit with setup questions, troubleshooting problems, product or topic suggestions, and corrections.
Send us a message
You can reach Smart Home Circuit by email at hello@smarthomecircuit.com or through the contact form on this page. The form uses a Cloudflare Turnstile check to keep out automated spam, and messages go to the same address as email. We read every message, but we can’t promise a reply to each one or a particular response time.
Getting a useful answer to a device question
The more specific you are, the easier it is to help. Please include the exact brand and model of the device, the app or platform you control it with, and what changed just before the problem started. Mention any status lights, error codes or messages you see, and list the steps you have already tried, such as restarting the router or doing a factory reset. If the problem involves Wi-Fi, it helps to know whether your router uses separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks or a single combined network.
Suggesting a product or topic
We welcome ideas for devices to cover, comparisons to write and problems to explain. Tell us why the topic matters to you and what you would want to know before buying or fixing it. We don’t accept payment for coverage, free products in exchange for a review, or sponsored posts. Manufacturers and PR teams are welcome to send documentation, but their suggestions are weighed the same way as anyone else’s.
Reporting an error
If a step, spec or price in one of our guides looks wrong, send us the article link and a short note about what you found. A link to an updated manual, support page or firmware note is especially helpful.
What we can’t help with
We can’t diagnose a specific home’s electrical or HVAC system remotely, and our guides don’t replace a licensed electrician or HVAC technician. If a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm is sounding, or you smell gas, leave the home and call 911 or your local emergency number first. Please don’t send passwords, account recovery codes or video footage of other people in your message.
Ask a setup or troubleshooting question
Include the exact device model, the app or platform you use (Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, SmartThings or Home Assistant) and what you have already tried. A short description of your Wi-Fi setup and any error lights or messages helps a lot. We read every question, and the most common ones often become new guides.
Suggest a product or topic
Tell us which device, comparison or problem you would like covered and why it matters in your home. We do not accept payment for coverage, and suggestions from manufacturers are judged the same way as suggestions from readers. We consider every idea but can't promise to cover all of them.
Report an error or outdated step
Send the article link, the part that looks wrong and, if you have one, a source such as an updated manual or firmware note. Apps and firmware change often, so these reports help keep the guides accurate for everyone.
